Hyungwook Yim, PhD

Director

Hyungwook received his PhD in Developmental Psychology and Computational Modeling from the Ohio State University, where he worked with Vladimir Sloutsky. He was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow working with Simon Dennis, where he followed the lab from the University of Newcastle to the University of Melbourne in Australia. He is currently an Associate Professor in Cognitive Sciences at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea. As a computational cognitive scientist, his research focuses on specifying the mechanisms that enable us to learn and acquire knowledge, and understanding how these learning mechanisms change over time, through experience, and development. Methodologically, he has been examining human behavior, and building computational models that better explain these behavioral patterns.

Sunwoo is an undergraduate student in the Department of Cognitive Sciences at Hanyang University. She is interested in applying cognitive science and computational methods to solve social issues.

Sejin Yoon,

Sejin is an undergraduate student in the Department of Cognitive Sciences at Hanyang University. She is interested in human cognition and neuroscience. She ultimately wants to know the factors in the brain that make each person unique.

Seoni Park,

UG Research Assistant

Seoni is an undergraduate student in the School of Data Science at Hanyang University. She is interested in human cognition and its underlying mechanisms. She wants to study and solve diverse human issues from both psychological and neural perspectives.

Dahae Cho,

UG Research Assistant

Dahae is an undergraduate research assistant in the Computational Cognition and Development Lab at Hanyang University. She is interested in addressing health issues through computational models to enhance public health outcomes.

Inhwa Oh,

UG Research Assistant

Inhwa is an undergraduate student majoring in Cognitive Science in the School of Data Science at Hanyang University. She is interested in human-AI interaction and aims to research robots that provide psychological assistance or physical support to people, based on her knowledge of cognitive psychology.

Hyewon is an undergraduate student in the School of Data Science at Hanyang University. She is interested in cognitive science, which studies human behavior. She wants to study human mechanisms based on cognitive science.
